Constitution Revision Commission (CRC)
The CRC has completed it’s work and there will be “bundled amendments on the ballot in November. These bundled amendments will have 2 or more amendments, so when you vote on one, you vote on all of them. This is very disconcerting, as some of the bundles are very misleading.
Amendment 8 (Education Amendment) is a bundle of 3 amendments: civics education in public schools, term limits for all Florida public school boards and an establishment of a state governing body to determine where and what charter schools will be established. The amendment calls charter schools “other public schools”. The way the amendment is written is very long and difficult to understand. FLNOW urges you to VOTE NO on this amendment.
FLNOW urges you to VOTE YES on 4, which restores voting rights to felons who have served their sentences.
